Can I visit your club before I join?

Yes, you are more than welcome to visit the club as a guest as many times as you like. You do not need to inform us if you are planning to attend a meeting. You do not need to bring or prepare anything. Just drop on by! 

When and where does UC Oracles meet?

We meet every 2nd and 4th Thursdays each month from 12:05pm-1pm.  Our meetings are held hybrid meeting. 

Is the UC Oracles Toastmasters club free & open to the community?

The UC Oracles club is a closed group and it is only open to people affiliated with UCSF. There are many other Toastmasters groups in the San Francisco Bay Area that are open to the public.

Do I have to pay out of pocket for my Toastmasters membership?

Toastmasters 6-month term is now $60 (April 1, 2024–September 30, 2024).  Contact our Vice President of Membership, Vic SanVicente for details on membership.

I am a staff member at UCSF. Can only students join Toastmasters?

Any staff, faculty, students and affiliates of UCSF are welcome to join our group.

How do I progress in Toastmasters?

Our VP of Education can help guide you through the Toastmasters International Educational Pathways when you join. You will take an online assessment to place you in the Educational Pathways best suited for you. This is a self-paced program and we encourage you to participate in as much as you want in Toastmasters.

Will someone in UC Oracles Toastmasters help me with my projects?

Our VP of Education can help guide you through the process when you join. You have the option to choose or be assigned a mentor to work with and guide you through the Toastmaster’s experience.

Are there other Toastmasters meeting times being offered at UCSF?

How does UC Oracles help the UCSF community?

We give presentations to various groups around campus, including speaking evaluations and advice for faculty, staff, residents, postdocs, and students. Please contact us if you would like to collaborate with us or invite us to speak to your group.
