UC Oracles Toastmasters was established on June 6, 2001 by a mid-management group oriented towards staff development. Our mission is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop outstanding communication and leadership skills, fostering self-confidence and personal growth.
Our club is open to staff, faculty, students, researchers, post-docs and residents of UCSF. We are sponsored by UCSF Learning and Organization Development, Administrative Management Professionals (AMP) and maintain Registered Campus Organization (RCO) status. UCSF and Chancellor Sam Hawgood support their employees and students in developing their communication and leadership skills by engaging in the Toastmasters program. For more information on Toastmasters International, visit www.toastmasters.org.
UC Oracles meets every 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 12:05-1:00pm (see sidebar). Guests are always welcome to attend any of our meetings so drop in or contact us if you have questions.
